Differently abled models walk the ramp on this International Disability day

New Delhi, 2nd December, 2018: A number of differently-abled people on Sunday walk the ramp at Red Fort in New Delhi as they participated in a fashion show exclusively organized for them in the capital by Narayan Seva Sansthan. The special models took to the stage to participate in the four-round fashion show based on different categories – with calipers, wheelchairs, crutches and artificial limbs and each round had 10 participants walking down the ramp.
The event kick started with the Welcome Dance by Diya Shrimali who was born with underdeveloped hands. The event become more excited when audience witnessed back to back rocking performances followed by Wheeler chair Round, Crutch round, short plays, group dance and caliper round. The performers were seen full of confidence while walking the ramps and even performing stunts on the stage.
Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, said, “It is astounding thing to see individuals with disability treated as outcasts. A shortcoming can never stop anyone from achieving their goals in life. These live performances on stage is such an example which showcase that we are selflessly working towards the betterment of these individuals with an objective of bringing them in the mainstream of society by empowering them physically, socially, and economically. This day is the best occasion to celebrate the achievements of the specially abled Individuals and we celebrate it in this way”.
The event witnessed huge crowd where all eyes is on stage waiting for the extra ordinary performances by Divyangjans. Besides performances, NGO also distributed free of cost prostheses to the ones, who were measured earlier. Along with this, NGO felicitated the contribution of donors who have supported the NGO in its motivational journey of serving the “differently abled Individuals”.
