Shriram Life Insurance Awarded with “Best Use of Digital for Social & Economic Development” award at Drivers of Digital Summit and Awards 2018

Jaipur, December 14, 2018: Private Life Insurer Shriram Life Insurance Company has bagged the “Best Use of Digital for Social & Economic Development” in the Drivers of Digital Summit and Awards 2018 which was held in Mumbai. The company was also awarded with a “Special Mention” for the Digital Innovation Award.

Shriram Life Insurance Company in partnership with digital consulting and solutions firm Left Right Mind (LRM) has focused on reaching the Aam Aadmi through a strategic mix of digital marketing campaigns in regional languages – initially through Hindi, Marathi, Tamil; and with the use of innovative mobile applications like SureBüddy and Financial Advisory App which was specifically targeted towards the common man.

SureBüddy App helps customers take the first step towards investing in insurance by providing sponsored life insurance worth Rs. 50,000 to users viewing a specific number of advertisements in a day. Shriram Life Insurance‘s Financial Advisory Program is driven by a mobile application designed to benefit the rural population and provide them with a diagnostic of their financial health. The application is an effort towards economic inclusion by helping people in the lower income groups understand their level of financial insecurity and the importance of life cover, saving and investments. Considering that all customers in this segment are not comfortable with the digital medium, the company also has a “Digital Sales Officer” channel to reach and service those who are not familiar with the Digital Technology.
